Volunteers for Adventure: A World Looks Toward Rotary and The Peace Corps

20 Jan 2019
1:00pm - 5:00pm PST

Registration for this event has passed

The Peace Corps and Rotary is a classic combination. Members of the Rotary Clubs of Mill Valley, San Carlos and Woodside are hosting a joint reception with the National Peace Corps Association.

The Returned Peace Corps volunteer community is vast throughout the country, and there are thousands residing here in California. Come meet some of them, learn about their experience and show them what Rotary is all about.

Join us for a reception to showcase projects from our district that will inspire and even motivate some to join our clubs. These include:

  • Building greenhouses in the Andes Mountains of Peru (Rotary of Mill Valley)
  • Constructing an irrigation aqueduct in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco (Rotary of San Carlos)
  • Youth education services in Sierra Leone (Rotary of Woodside)
  • Water purification plants in over 10 countries (H2OpenDoors, a project of Rotary worldwide)

$30 per person (kids are free)
